Terms and Conditions

Bramblewood Blooms is a licensed and inspected business in the state of Washington.  We are proud members of our local Dahlia Society and strive to be good stewards of this beloved flower.

Our Commitment to our Customers:

At Bramblewood Blooms we strive for happy customers with beautiful dahlias!   We understand you have many options for purchasing dahlias and are committed to earning your business.  We also understand that there is a lot of passion in the dahlia community on a variety of subjects including viruses.  We ask you to please carefully read our policies below and ensure that you are comfortable with them before making a purchase from us.

Guarantee:

All tubers are guaranteed to be viable, with at least one eye, and true to variety, as shown on our website.  Tubers are grown in the ground and come in all shapes and sizes.  They can be small or large, firm or slightly wrinkled, princess perfect or have ugly stepsister vibes.  Tubers may have peeling skin, minor body damage or cut ends.  Rest assured while some might not be pretty, they will all be viable.  We will only send you tubers that we would be happy to receive ourselves.

Please open and inspect your tubers promptly upon receipt.  Any concerns must be provided in writing within 48 hours of package delivery.  You can contact us through the Contact page, or directly at BramblewoodBlooms@gmail.com.  Pictures must be provided that clearly depict the concern. After 48hrs refunds will not be considered.

Please note, tubers are plant material and there are many variables that factor into continued viability.  Once you have received your tubers, we are not responsible for issues including, but not limited to, failed storage methods, or other factors at time of planting such as weather, poor growing conditions or pests.

Once your dahlia has bloomed, if it is not true to the variety you purchased from our website, you must reach out by September 1st of the year purchased. A replacement will be offered for the following year, or if we no longer grow that variety, we will provide a refund.   We do practice careful labeling throughout growing, storing and shipping, but we are human and mistakes can be made.  If a mistake is made, we want to make it right!

Ordering:

Tubers can sell out very quickly.  Placing an item in your cart does not hold it for purchase.  Your order isn’t confirmed until you check out and receive an email confirmation.

For quicker purchasing, we recommend creating an account and using the Wishlist feature.  Your saved Wishlist has an “ADD ALL TO CART” link at the bottom of the page, which will add all dahlias that are available, and on your Wishlist, to your cart at once.

Payment:

Accepted payment is by major debit or credit card only.  We do have Shop Pay as an option for quicker checkout.

Quantity Limits:

Tuber varieties that are listed as “Limit #”, may not be purchased in quantities greater than that indicated.  If more tubers are purchased beyond the limit, the entire order will be cancelled and refunded.

Virus and Disease:

Our farm is inspected annually by the Washington State Department of Agriculture.  We are diligent with our sanitization practices.  Snips, pruners and other tools are all sanitized between each plant or tuber clump when harvesting and dividing.  We utilize either a 10% bleach solution or 70% isopropyl alcohol for sanitization. We regularly inspect and aggressively cull any plant that shows signs of virus or is not thriving.  Due to the high cost of dahlia testing, we do not test currently.

Studies suggest that over 80% of U.S. dahlia stock is infected with one of more viruses.  While we do practice careful sanitization, as well as culling symptomatic plants, we recognize that a high number of plants are likely asymptomatic.  Due to this reality, we do not guarantee virus free dahlias.  By purchasing from us, you accept that risk and understand that we do not refund due to virus or disease.

Returns:

We do not accept returns, unless there is a quality or viability issue with the tuber(s), and the issue was submitted in writing within 48hrs of receipt.  Please do not return tubers without prior coordination and agreement by us, as they will not be accepted.   Please see the Guarantee section above for additional information.

Refunds:

Occasionally storage loss may occur after a presale.  If a variety that you ordered is no longer available, we will let you know and will issue a refund for that tuber.  If additional tubers were not purchased, the shipping cost will also be refunded.

Additional refund situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellations:

All sales are final.  Once an order is placed, we are unable to cancel or modify the order in any way.

Communication:

Please contact us with any questions or concerns via email, either through the Contact page, or directly at BramblewoodBlooms@gmail.com.  We will typically respond within five business days.  Please do not contact us through social media channels as these are not monitored, and your message could be missed.
