Our Story

Hi, I’m Erin, the dahlia addict behind Bramblewood Blooms. My love of gardening started early, with one of my grandmas being a vegetable gardener, and the other being a flower gardener. While I enjoyed the harvest of my vegetable growing grandma, I was drawn to the flowers of my Mimi. I loved helping her plant and tend to her gardens, and that is where my love of flower gardening began. My love of dahlias, however, began at our neighbor’s house. She had grandchildren that we would go over to play with, and in her backyard, she had the most glorious little dahlia patch.  I was smitten! She took a great deal of pride in her dahlias, and while we weren’t allowed to go into the little patch, I loved seeing all the colors on these big, beautiful plants. She was a very sweet lady and would sometimes let us choose a bloom that she would cut for us to take home, which would make my day.

Fast forward to adulthood and my flower growing journey. Every house I’ve lived in, I have kept some kind of garden. I had grown dahlias off and on over the years, but never more than a few at a time due to space constraints. I always remembered my childhood neighbor’s dahlias and dreamed of having my own little dahlia cutting garden someday. We now live on 5 acres, and with the help of my husband, I was finally able to realize that dream. I now have my own dahlia patch!

Growing my dahlias has been an absolute joy, and one that I am now thrilled to share with others through our small business.  Your support means the world to our family.

Happy Growing,
